My Little Rants.....~3~

Wanna know what goes inside my head? Well here you go, enjoy.
~ALL my Rants are harmless fun, and are not there to offend/ upset anyone- they are just for fun.~

I don’t know if you guys ever had a friend or still have a friend that keeps on lying about everything. I hope you don’t. Unfortunately I do.

I understand telling a little lie, a little fib to your friends to makes yourself look “cool” or “funny” and when I say small and little I do mean small, not like oh I don’t know making up a person. Who lives in your attic. Who has been 17 years old for the past five years.
Yes my so called friend has told me and all our other friends about this boy- let’s call him toby. For the last five or so years this guy, who was her bestfriend, and her boyfriend at one point has been 17. And living in her attic. At one point he had a brother, and at another point he was an only child.

At first we believed her and believed that he existed. Until we asked to see him, or talk to him. Whenever we asked where he was she would say he doesn’t like people, or that he’s not there, or that she hates him right now. Any excuse for us not to see him.  So you see how we begun to have our doubts.

The story kept on changing, every small detail that she would think we won’t notice always changed. Well the lie might have worked if she told us the same version and stuck to it!
Ugh but anyway yes she made up an imaginary friend. Everything that comes out of her mouth is most likely lies we don’t even believe her anymore which sucks as she is our friend. But if you heard some of the stuff she says you would want to slap her yourself. Best example is that she told one of us that she’s a secret agent, and she’s actually 17 (this was while we were about 13 going onto 14) and that she and Toby were trained to do all this cool ninja stuff and the only reason she’s in school is cause she could fit it. Great idea for a book, but in real life.. Not so much, and she’s not exactly ermm.. built to be a secret agent.

If I were to list all the lies that she has told us I would be on here forever.

You know the feeling when something funny happened over the weekend while you were with one of your bestfriends? And you just can’t wait to tell someone about it. Well, about a year or so ago me and my old neighbour would make fun of each other and bang on the wall to annoy each other (his room was right next to mine). And so on. Well she then told us that her neighbour (suddenly turned into a 19 year old [the real neighbours were an old couple who didn’t have any kids, they were about 70-80]) Knowing the neighbours I got confused, since when do old people turn into teenagers?

We are still sort of friends with her but I needed to get this out..

My lame ass excuse....

Okay so hopefully you guys have noticed my absence, me going off all the time without a warning. But also slacking big time on the blog!! And for that I am truly sorry *goes in the corner and cries* I can sit here and list all the stuff that went wrong for me- like the thought that my Internet decided to kill itself and not turn on for little old me. Or the fact that I have been running around after school to do revision classes and exams. But that would not make a difference the truth is even with all the stupid stuff going on I should have made a bigger effort to come and post but sadly I didn't..

But have no fear I am ditching my old lazy ass self and from now on (unless there is a massive reason) I shall post as much as I humanly can and as much as my little brain can handle. Take in mind however that I'm trying to type this up using just one hand (my wrist is killing  can't even freaking move it!!)

Having said all that I do need some help from YOU guys! Yes you! I need ideas for "My Little Rants" or anything else that you would *love* to see on this blog, from different memes- to even hosting you as a guest on my blog!

Anything at all- and if you're sitting there reading this and you have a stroke of genius email me as fast as you can!!

Review: Dark Heart Surrender- Lee Monroe

ONE GIRL. TWO WORLDS. SHATTERED. Jane's world has changed now that Luca, love of her live, inhabits it, and she's happier than she ever thought she could be. But how can a werewolf survive in the real world? When an immortal lives in the mortal world, the natural order of things must change. And what seems perfect, becomes destructive. They've overcome different worlds. But nothing could prepare Jane for this ...

Why the hell did I wait for this book for so long?

Okay so bad start to the book- I pretty much forgot what happened in the other two books!! Shame on me. I remembered all the *big* stuff and key events in the books. And after a while I started to remember more and more *phew* but that got me thinking (did I really enjoy the books as much as I thought I did?)

I could not for the life of me get into this book! I have no real idea why but I just couldn’t. It felt like there was a massive wall between me and the books and I kept on bashing me head on the wall. It was a disaster.

But wait, it got better halfway through- it wasn’t amazing but it was certainly better than the rest.

Ugh such a disappointing book!! I expected MORE from it a LOT more than this. What the hell was this anyway?! I loved the way the second book ended and that would have been fine for me, it was a cute “happy ever after” with a little mystery.

I have mixed feelings about the new characters. I loved it as it was fresh and new but hated it at the same time. Hold your horses wasn’t there a little cliff hanger at the end of the second book? What is the point in bringing in more characters with more *difficulties* at least make them relevant to the previous books. Truth be told I was furious at this, at first I was hoping that Soren would just jump up and save Jane. Or something back from Nissilum would jump out and bite their asses. But sadly no!! That was too much to ask for apparently.

I love the cover in Dark Heart Rising so why does this cover have to be so bleh? The girl doesn’t even look real!

Comparing all the books together this was quite truly crap! So so disappointed in this book- most of it was terrible and I wanted to tear my hair out.

Also if you’re living together with your *hot* boyfriend I don’t think you would act like Jane at all! Let’s just say she was purer than a nun.

Barley kissed~ Seriously? Are you freaking kidding me? Only one thing I can compare this book to and it was one of the ugly sloppy kisses from old grannies!! ~

ps- I was re-reading this and it actually made me laugh.. I still haven't figured out if that's sad or not?

A simple mission turned deadly.

Nineteen-year-old vampire Dawn has led a sheltered life within the confines of her father’s presidential headquarters. Upon being sent on a mission to revamp four goofy misfits into guardians of a peaceful little town of Angel Creek, Dawn believes that all her dreams have finally come true. What starts off as a simple task, turns into something unexpected, changing Dawn’s life forever and leading the action-loving, thrill-seeking vampire teen on a path of mystery, danger and intrigue.

When a human girl is kidnapped by a group of rogue vamps, Dawn discovers that there is more going on in Angel Creek than meets the eye. And it all connects to Ethan, the cute newcomer who seems too perfect to be true, Sebastian, the mysterious vampire with a turbulent past, and even Dawn herself. Dawn must not only succeed in revamping the troubled recruits, but must also prevent the vampire race from being overtaken by a malevolent villain who has a strange and obsessive fascination with her. As threat escalates, romance blooms, and ghosts from her past begin to surface, Dawn is sure of only one thing: her life will never be the same.

So good luck everyone I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did!!

~I was very lucky to interview the one and only Ada Adams!! She's the author of the very awesome ReVamped book that I am totally in love with at the moment!! So you guys have got to check it out!!!!!!~
1) What made you want to become a writer? (Was it the imaginary worlds you were in while you were acting?)

My passion for writing was born out of my love for reading. I was always very drawn to the imaginary worlds found within books. Therefore, between trips to the library, I found myself crafting my own stories of unique worlds. I believe that this interest in all things imaginary is what made me pursue careers in both writing and acting.

2) Can you tell some of the newbie readers that haven't yet got to enjoy ReVamped about it?
ReVamped is a humorous YA Paranormal novel, filled with action and adventure. It tells a story of a strong vampire girl, Dawn, who is in charge of training a group of vampire misfits to become strong protectors of a small little town of Angel Creek. When Dawn arrives in Angel Creek, she quickly realizes that there is much more to the mission than initially meets the eye. She finds herself wrapped in a mystery that intertwines both her present and the past.

3) In ReVamped humans know about vampires walking and living amongst them. Was it hard to imagine that happening? And how people reacted?
It wasn’t difficult to imagine vampires integrating into our world, as I based the idea on our current societal views. Thanks to the influence of many popular novels, TV shows, and films, our world is obsessed with vampires—and rightfully so! I kind of imagined that if vampires were ever to reveal themselves, it would be perfect timing to do it right about now.
Come on…We’re waiting!

4) How would you describe Sebastian in five words?
Hot, hot, hot, hot, and mysterious.
How about you? :)
~I think you pretty much covered it there!! But I would add dreamy to the list~

5) What is going on between Dawn and Ethan? They nearly kissed! Has he got feeling for her?
Yes, he does. Since he was holding some secrets from Dawn in ReVamped, it kind of pulled them apart. However, I can’t promise that he won’t be acting upon those feeling in the future.

6) You're also an actress- So would you see yourself playing Dawn in a movie or TV-show? Or is there someone else?
When I write characters (especially main characters), I cannot visualize them as myself or people I know in real life. In fact, I’ve never even been able to imagine any of ReVamped’s characters as a cast of actors. They exist within my mind as completely different entities with their own personalities and looks. I’m very drawn to playing strong, kick-butt characters like Dawn, and do hope to have the opportunity to work on more roles like that. However, I’m also Dawn’s creator, so if I began writing her character “for myself”, I don’t think that would be very fair to Dawn or my readers.

7) Is there anything you can tell us about the new book, also how many books in this series are you hoping to write?
The next book in the series, ReAwakened, takes us on a more intimate journey into the characters’ lives. The readers will learn about the misfits’ pasts, as well as see those pasts come to haunt the characters in present time. Dawn’s relationship(s?) will take a much more intimate and romantic turn, as new threats arise and she has to fight for those she loves. Speaking of new, a couple of new characters are arriving in Angel Creek (and I must warn you, one of them is quite a hottie)!
Currently, there are three books planned in the series, with a possibility of a fourth. I cannot reveal the third novel’s title yet, as it is a bit of a spoiler!

8) There are a lot of shocking moments in the middle of the book, did you plan it out before hand or just went with it?
It was definitely planned. I actually wrote that one “special” chapter before some of the earlier parts of the novel. However, in the early stages of the plotting process, the storyline (especially in regard to Dawn and Sebastian’s connection) was somewhat different.

9) Have you got any plans/ ideas for another book?
I have a few simmering on the stove, so to speak. Some are in initial planning stages, others have been developed further. However, I’m currently very focused on the Angel Creek series, as I know the readers are excited to receive the books in a timely fashion. :)

So a little bit about Ada..

At age five, Ada read her first chapter book. Ever since that moment, she developed an intense passion for the stories and characters found within the pages of literature.

In her career as an actress and a writer, Ada currently spends most of her days immersed in imaginary worlds. Much like the characters she enjoys playing and writing about, Ada is a martial artist with a Black Belt in Shotokan Karate. She is also a big proponent of lifelong learning, and has attained a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (it aids in creating characters with unique quirks!) as well as a Masters of Science in Education.

Ada strives to bring a fresh voice and perspective to fiction. She has been writing creatively for many years, and is an editor of a global fashion/literary magazine called VEUX. "ReVamped" is her debut novel.

She lives in Toronto, Canada, and enjoys adventurous nature hikes with her adorable puppies Cara and Oreo.

Review:ReVamped ~ Ada Adams

A simple mission turned deadly.

Imagine vampires coming out of the coffins and walking amongst us, with us knowing and accepting them…..
From the prologue I could feel myself falling in love with this book! I’m not exaggerating from the very first line I was hooked!! Here’s the first line of the book “A sharp, searing pain pierced through my chest as I watched the guy I liked- the guy I was falling in love with- kiss another girl.”
What did I tell you? Amazing! And did I mention how much I love this quote?

The book is set in 2015- however whenever I was reading the book I felt like I was being thrown into the 1900’s or even earlier. By the way Dawn described stuff, how all the characters talked and acted (well all apart from Brooke) it was as if the whole Angel Creek took a step back in time but decided to keep all of the gadgets and every modern thing. And I wasn’t expecting it to work. But it did strangely enough. I had my doubts I kept thinking “oh hang on this isn’t how a normal teenage girl would act, not nowadays” But it actually made the book so much better….

So not only is the book set three years in the future, but vampires have come out of their coffins into the real world meaning one thing humans know about vampires! They know that they exist and walk amongst them. So what does our population do with that knowledge? Run away screaming in fear? Nope they welcome them with open arms and make them famous. Trusting humans to do the exact opposite.

The characters had a lot of history, some painful, some shocking and some absolutely heart breaking. When I was reading the chapter about Sebastian’s family it made me want to cry. It was so sad. And then when Dawn was finally getting the answers from her father that she deserved a long time ago. It was really emotional. I was ready to cry, I didn’t expect it at all. It’s just not something that I saw coming.

The book was mostly action, and no romance which sucked. Or at least that’s what I thought at first. The lack of romance during the book certainly was really disappointing but then when I reached the end and read the last line I couldn’t help but smile and squeal and giggle to myself. It was the MOST perfect way to end this book! It was so so cute, absolutely adorable, I loved it so much. Every time I think about it I keep smiling to myself like an idiot.

I don’t like Ethan. He’s charming and cute, and bit goffy at times. But I don’t like him. I did at one point (well actually before I was introduced to the hotty that is Sebastian) and soon he seemed really annoying! Like a puppy running around wanting attention from Dawn *yawn* compared to Sebastian he had no chance.
I was expecting this book to be one of the stories where a girl (never been kissed or had a boyfriend) moves out of her father’s mansion to a small town. Where she meets two hotties who are falling in love with her! Fighting over her non-stop. Boring, boring, boring. I’m so glad that this book turned out to be a lot more. Instead of all the vampire-love we got vampire-action, really there was quite a lot of death.

Bitten~ It was amazing!! AND I wouldn't mind having Sebastian to myself *pretty please?* ~
