Review: Touch~ Jus Accardo

When a strange boy tumbles down a river embankment and lands at her feet, seventeen-year-old adrenaline junkie Deznee Cross snatches the opportunity to piss off her father by bringing the mysterious hottie with ice blue eyes home.

Except there’s something off with Kale. He wears her shoes in the shower, is overly fascinated with things like DVDs and vases, and acts like she’ll turn to dust if he touches her. It’s not until Dez’s father shows up, wielding a gun and knowing more about Kale than he should, that Dez realizes there’s more to this boy—and her father’s “law firm”—than she realized.

Kale has been a prisoner of Denazen Corporation—an organization devoted to collecting “special” kids known as Sixes and using them as weapons—his entire life. And, oh yeah, his touch? It kills. The two team up with a group of rogue Sixes hellbent on taking down Denazen before they’re caught and her father discovers the biggest secret of all. A secret Dez has spent her life keeping safe.

A secret Kale will kill to protect.

So my first thought- “the author dives into the world of Dez a teenage girl set out to piss her dad off” great…

But then when the story started moving forwards I kind of got used to this idea of Dez and her dad, but hold on a second! There was a lot about this book that annoyed me, like for instance…
At the very start I got so confused, I actually wasn’t sure if Dez was a girl or a boy until about five pages in (I didn’t read about the book I just started it) so not a great start, but when Kale came along it was promising. The beginning was actually really captivating even though I was confused I really loved the action and the promise that it held.
Another thing that really ticked me off was Dez- I really liked her punk look and her sarcasm and just her but halfway through she became so annoying! It seemed like she believed whatever she was told, and she didn’t question anything! It was as if she couldn’t be bothered to think it all through.

So just to get everything out of the way yet another thing that really annoyed me was how easy this whole thing seemed to me! Everything seemed to just land in their laps and all they had to do was follow through with whatever it is they needed to do- it wasn’t at all mysterious or thrilling. Is it just me or did her cousin Brandt just happened to know everything and knew where to find every little thing that Dez needed?

But fear not! I did enjoy this book quite a bit! And here are the reasons why…

I never thought I would come by a book where the girl has to teach the guy about sex and kissing and everything else that well they should already know. And it was brilliant! It was really cheesy, funny and awkward which makes it even BETTER!

And Kale, I wouldn’t mind running into him any time, he was hot charming and just plain adorable. And the main thing I loved about him was how much he cared for Dez and he wanted to protect her all the time it was just so sweet.

So even though the start and some aspects of this book annoyed the crap out of me I still loved it! Halfway through when action was picking up and I mean both fighting and in the bedroom if you know what I mean
- yeah there was an actual sex scene! Not being creepy or anything but a lot of books lack that the romance just feels well bleh, it doesn’t seem like any teenage romance nowadays. But this book didn’t lack anything! It was just brilliant- and because of the romance and what was going on and obviously because of Kale I do admit I enjoyed it quite a bit.

~~It looks a lot more creepier then I intended it to!

Kissed~ I won't mind showing Kale what a kiss is~

Review:Prom Nights From Hell

In this exciting collection, bestselling authors Meg Cabot ("How to Be Popular"), Kim Harrison ("A Fistful of Charms"), Michele Jaffe ("Bad Kitty"), Stephenie Meyer ("Twilight"), and Lauren Myracle ("ttyl") take bad prom nights to a whole new level--a paranormally bad level. Wardrobe malfunctions and two left feet don't hold a candle to discovering your date is the Grim Reaper--and he isn't here to tell you how hot you look.
From angels fighting demons to a creepy take on getting what you wish for, these five stories will entertain better than any DJ in a bad tux. No corsage or limo rental necessary. Just good, scary fun.

~ I read and reviewed this book a long time ago, so this review is a little bit old and it was written around the time when I was obsessed with Twilight and Stephenine Meyer~

Well first of all I LOVE THE BOOK AND THE STORIES!! The stories are amazing, even though they are really short they are nevertheless amazing. The way they are told and the way you can so picture it is awesome..
But there is one story I don't like and to be completely honest I couldn't wait to finish it.
And the story was by *Cries* Stephenie Meyer- Hell on earth.
I love her and her work but this story was just dreadful. It was painful to read, for me it didn't make any sense and it was just so so confusing. And it absolutely kills me to say this but I didn't like it at all, it was nothing like any of her other stories it was as if she just made it up on the spot.
But anyway- my favourite is Meg Cabot - The Exterminator's Daughter. It was so quick and snappy but nonetheless I loved it, it was so flirty and so just amazing, I don't know how else to describe it but I loved it.
Now to the next story by Lauren Myracle- The Corsage I wasn't so keen on the story at first, I thought it was a bit dull. But then it got really interesting and it was more of a halloween story then a prom one. SPOILER ALERT!! I hated the ending and if it was me who brought the love of my life back to life I would most likely still love him and not wish for him to go away!
Kim Harrison- Madison Avery and the Dim Reaper was okay I will read the rest of the books because it ended on a great cliff hanger and I can't wait to see what happens next. But that's all I have to say for it to be honest.
Michele Jaffer- Kiss and Tell. Well for starts I love the characters. I love the beginning and I love the ending even though there isn't going to be more books of Kiss and Tell as far as I'm aware, I would love to see what happens next and what happens with Miranda.

So the book was awesome, and I know I pointed out most of the stuff I didn't like but there are a lot a lot of stuff I love. But I'm not going to dwell on that.

So if you are looking for some sharp, snappy and flirty stories I would totally recommend it. :)

BITTEN!!~Five amazing authors- five amazing bites!!~

AHHHHHHH!!!!! This beautiful book is coming out this year! So anyone who has not yet read ReVamped get yourself together and buy the book!

I love both of the covers they are both very beautiful, no beyond beautiful... I told Ada that I really love both of the covers and that I couldn't decide which one I love more (it's like a crime) but thankfully she told me I'm able to love both (phew I thought I would have to flip a coin)

So in case you haven't yet figured out that how much I love this brand new vampire series by my little fit above I really do. It's mostly because of the twist in the middle, and well the fact that vampires came out of their coffins and are out and about in the real world.

Review:The Hunger Games ~ Suzanne Collins

In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.

Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who lives alone with her mother and younger sister, regards it as a death sentence when she steps forward to take her sister’s place in the Games. But Katniss has been close to dead before—and survival, for her, is second nature. Without really meaning to, she becomes a contender. But if she is to win, she will have to start making choices that will weigh survival against humanity and life against love.

A little late but better than never, this series has actually been on my list for a long time now- but I never thought I would enjoy or understand what this book was about, it did seem complicated and not really something I would enjoy even with all the kids killing.

The whole plot and the world that Collins created was something I have never ever seen and I still can’t figure out how she came up with it, it was so original and nothing like anyone has ever done before. It was really mesmerising. I was told that this book was good but I had no idea it was THIS good… Oh My God was it good (you were right Jana)

From the very start I couldn’t help but bond with the characters, they seemed so real. And there they were trying to get by and hope that they get to live for another day; it was impossible not to feel a connection to them as they are just normal people having to face not only hunger but this freaking game of death every year!

When I began reading the book all the little fears I had disappeared as soon as they came, the story was so well described and it was really easy to get stuck in, I truly didn’t feel lost at all during this book which did surprise me and I’m not the sharpest of people and I thought it would take me forever to get what the book was talking about.

I think I fell in love with Katniss Everdeen from the first few chapters. She was a heroine that had her whole world turned upside down, having to be the parent and look after her younger sister but the best thing about her was that she wasn’t stuck up her own arse. She went into the game because she had to save her sister. She never thought for sure that she will kick everyone butts and win this thing, she was confident but still knew that there would be people that were going to be a lot more better than her.

I thought this book was going to be about the kids killing each other nonstop but there was also romance in the air, I didn’t particularly like their little relationship just because Peeta is the sweetest guy ever and he is truly madly in love with Katniss spilling his heart out for her and she doesn’t even know that he really feels like this. It was heart breaking reading the last chapter if I cried at cute stuff like this I would have cried buckets!

There is one thing that I really didn’t like and that’s when they were still in the arena I could not for the life of me grasp the end of the day and start of the night and visa versa. That was the only confusing thing that was in the book I think otherwise there is not a thing left to say but I hate myself for not reading this book sooner!!
I made myself a massive promise however that I am not to watch the movie until I was done with this book and it was really hard to keep! It was SO tempting every time something massive happened I would just say “woah I can’t wait to see this in the movie” I really hope my favourite parts are in the film.

BITTEN~ It is most definitely kissed and then bitten and then kissed again!! It was that good! AH I think I'm in love~
